Winner London Independent Story Prize!

Entanglement wins the LISP Film Festival 2023 Feature Movie Award. Co-directed by Lliane Clarke, Kaye Tuckerman and Otgadahe Whitman-Fox the Award is the latest in the accolades for the film made in two countries and four time zones.

Lliane Clarke was interviewed on the LISP website, about how she got into film making, what makes writing a challenge, and tips for emerging future film makers.

“I developed the Voices of Women program to present monologues by women whose voices can’t be heard, or women who had been told they can’t write or have nothing to say – and to share that with actors and professional storytellers.

I wrote monologues for the live shows and also for our first feature film Clearway. When it came to Entanglement, I explored directing and absolutely adored it – directing four short films, and then the final feature film. Entanglement was truly a group effort, and we would meet across four time lines online every week.

I loved working really closely with my co directors, the mega talented fellow Australian Kaye Tuckerman, who is an actor/writer/director based in New York, and actor/writer and director Otgadahe Whitman-Fox, a proud First Nations American who had such passion for this film, and also wasn’t afraid to call a spade a spade and tell it straight – which I still love about her! Our coproducers Sally Paridis and Laura Patinkin just keep us all afloat and kept the ship heading in the right direction – aka forwards!”
