International Film and Script Festival

“This Festival is not just about awards; it’s about recognition, forging lifelong connections with like-minded artists and the joy of seeing your work resonate and spark conversations with audiences.”

What does it feel like to step into another woman’s shoes on the other side of the world for a short minute—to see the world through her eyes and feel the weight and joy of her decisions?

Held annually on International Women’s Day, this dynamic Festival is a bold celebration of women creating at the cutting edge of short-form storytelling. It’s where scriptwriters, filmmakers, directors and actors take centre stage.

It champions Australian and international storytellers with screenings in Sydney, Kenya and New York. It shines a spotlight on emerging talent across drama, documentary and animation—artists who are redefining the future of storytelling with fresh perspectives and fearless creativity.

Voices of Women began in 2018 to showcase diversity, tolerance, understanding and international connections in storytelling. This Festival was created to continue that vision, addressing the underrepresentation of women, specifically women from black and multicultural communities, in the film industry. It focuses on recognition, connection with like-minded artists and diversity.

Curated by an international panel of acclaimed actors, writers and filmmakers, and presented by the award-winning Voices of Women, the Festival is a rich, immersive experience. The festival brings together a striking collection of short films and scripts in one event that are raw, moving, funny, experimental and deeply human.
