Are you working or living in Wagga Wagga or Dubbo? All women are invited to join in. Come together in welcoming, culturally safe workshops where women across cultures can gather, listen, share and build relationships through creativity.
Every woman has a story worth telling, and sharing those stories together has the power to boost personal understanding, reduce isolation and strengthen communities overall to work together.
The program starts with you, and where you feel comfortable.
We gather in workshops – with an online option and a live event option.
Online: explore story, meet new women, and experiment with creative speaking and writing games.
The live workshop: includes refreshments, storymaking and a travelling ‘storycloth’ where women create, draw and write on a canvas backdrop.
Both the workshops record women’s voices and create a podcast of their stories. If you already have a short story we’d love to hear that as well.
Public performance: Then we all come together at a local community hall and hear the stories we have created, with actors, and music, and the revelation of the ‘storycloth’. If your story is included in this event you will be paid a writers performance fee.
