Come for the stories and stay for the connections!
There’s something special that happens when women come together on Country. Come along to a free and creative workshop, where together we will walk and share on the banks of the Parramatta River at Shepherd’s Bay Community Centre.
Everyone is welcome. The workshops show the power of diversity and what happens when women from First Nations and multicultural communities come together to listen to each other, get creative and be heard. The activitites focus on:
- Yarning, Creative Storymaking
- Refreshments and Connecting Across Cultures
- Time Out to Be Creative
- Readings and Recordings
We particularly welcome women from South Asian and First Nations Communities to meet in this inspiring space on Wallumedegal Country.
The workshop will begin with a Welcome to Country, followed by fun creative exercises exploring connection, imagination, and storytelling. Put your phone down and explore the rich imagination you already have. Refreshments are provided.
All participation is free and no experience or literary level is required. However registration is essential as places limited to 15.
After the workshops, we will invite family and friends to a public performance of the stories, with music.
You’ll leave feeling uplifted, connected, and creatively inspired.
