The social impact of this program extends well beyond participants, strengthening their wellbeing while building confidence, understanding and social cohesion across cultures, particularly in communities where isolation can be a challenge. Creative engagement through community workshops, performance, podcast and film is a proven tool for belonging and trust, helping people to live together in peace and understanding.

ENCOURAGING WOMEN TO SHARE THEIR VOICE: Since 2018 ver 2500 women have created and submitted stories in 300 workshops where they felt safe, empowered and valued with a genuine sense of belonging. Women who never considered their imagination discover they have stories worth telling and sharing.
I didn’t think I can speak or share anything with new people. But when I came to the workshop I was like wow, I am certain I can speak and I can share. Abrar Elnawam, Egyptian-Australian, Dubbo
BACKING DIVERSITY: We engage with women of all ages, with First Nations culture at the heart, and actively support women from culturally and linguistically diverse communities strengthening meaningful cross-cultural experiences.

It’s so important that this program tells regional women’s stories and brings people together. Aunty Cheryl Penrith OAM, Wiradjuri Elder
In this project, despite the loss and challenges these women have faced during the Yazidi Genocide, they continue to demonstrate hope, strength and dignity. Sharing their stories is a powerful way to honour their journeys and inspire other women to find their own voice, strength and resilience. Maddy Harris, AMEP TAFE NSW Pathways Guidance Officer, Wagga Wagga

BOOSTING SELF-ESTEEM AND IDENTITY: Women report being empowered to share their story and connect with others, giving them stronger confidence where their life experience is respected and valued.
Story telling and poetry cross all the bridges of division, race, religion and age. They bind us into an army of words and emotion which many women would be too timid or shy to express by themselves. Marie Clear, Wiradjuri writer, Wagga Wagga
