Dubbo Workshop

What a blast we had at the Voices of Women Embellishment workshops on the lands of the Tubba-Gah main Wiradjuri people in Dubbo!

Over two intense days participants explored storytelling working with Artist in Residence writer Kalina Davis and Artistic Director Lliane Clarke.

Participants explored storybuilding, monologue development, character, and performance, wrote five stories and recorded them for a podcast!

The workshop participants developed new stories and shared their own stories helped by Voices of Women Community Facilitator Di Bird.

Participants learnt how to craft a story in a safe and creative environment, joined a story circle to begin and get to know other creatives, had fun with improvisation, word games and story play and heard their story read by an actor and worked with them on it and podcast the story online.

Thank you to all the amazing creative women and the sheer energy bubbling out of the hub that is Studio 138 Dubbo!
